I became a soldier to protect people. That's the difference between a soldier and a killer.

I didn't need to kill them to protect. There's a good chance they got into an army without thinking it through or not having a choice.

Now? They'll think twice and it'll be a long time before they're redraftable. If they're really malicious, same thing, just for different personal goals.

The man just smiles as he listens.

Depends entirely on what you're protecting. Its a pretty effective tool if you have specific people you're protecting.

You never answered if this was a trial.

The landscape is getting greyer, flatter. The more you murder your feelings the less there is around you. For better or worse as the man said, the place reflects you to some degree.

Only the man seems to retain his colors fully.

Anyway the landscape twists a little nightmarishly at the horror, before blurring a bit like an impressionist painting as if trying to spare Dusk from seeing it.

The man doesn't seem to see the need to repeat himself though.

I thought this was a totem with someone whose already been fucked up by the Malice, why am I in Rean?!

The landscape appears to be attempting to escape. That is, it's fading into a pastel greyish blur.

[LANDSCAPE STOP DOING THAT, THAT'S VERY UNNERVING WHEN HE'S TRYING TO BE CALM!!!!]

Then....is he in danger? Is there a point to this? Does he need help or Malice is gonna eat him?
